Setting up your mobile device

You can customize:

• where your device caches information
• whether you are to be alerted to activity
• how often your device will refresh page contents
• whether you can create multiple accounts.

To customize these tasks, choose Settings from the Login screen's options menu, then update this information as desired:

• Use device memory for content cache

Caches information in your device memory.

• Use media card for content cache

If you have a media card, you can use it for cached information instead of your device memory. This results in a slightly slower performance, so you would normally select this only if your device memory is getting full.

If you select both locations, your device will decide where to cache information. To clear the cache, use the Clear Cache button.

• Enable alarms on new content received

If you clear this, you won't be alerted to activity.

• Refresh policy

To refresh page contents only when you ask, choose Manual refresh only. When you want to refresh the page, choose Refresh from the menu.

To automatically refresh on an infrequent basis (there is little activity or you don't need to be updated often), choose Regular updates.

To automatically refresh page contents more often, choose Frequent updates.

• Enable multiple accounts support

This is only necessary if you will need to create more than one account.

• Signature.

Adds the text you type here as a signature to every OpenText Social Workplace post or FirstClass message you send.

If you want something other than the default signature, just replace it.
